About Me

My name is Sored, I’m Venezuelan and I am the creator of Prayer Craft Studio. Welcome to my art journey inspired by my faith! I hope you are also inspired to create your own art.

I have a background in business administration, working for the Belgium Embassy in Venezuela and in Panama. Languages has been a huge part of my life, connecting me to people professionally and personally.

My husband and I became parents when we recently moved to the US and being in this new phase of my life as a stay home mom gave me the opportunity to concentrate my attention in my family and my personal relationship with God. I found that reading the bible was giving me the inspiration to create so I started writing Bible quotes in calligraphy.

Watercolors have been a wonderful way for me to relax and pay attention to my surroundings using different techniques and watching all of the colors blend.

We lived in New York City for a little bit over a year and this amazing city gave me the opportunity to teach my watercolor and lettering skills to a lot of people. Thanks to my husband’s job, now we get to travel to different cities around the U.S., we had the pleasure to live in the great North West Coast exactly in the Seattle area and now we are living our new adventure in Dallas, Texas. I can’t wait to see what God has for Prayer Craft Studio here! Stay tuned!

About my country

Untitled-Artwork (18)

I am from a beautiful country located on the northern coast of South America with diverse natural attractions. It has the most incredible landscapes including beaches, mountains, deserts, jungle and plains. The most amazing people, enthusiast, brave, friendly, and a great humor even through difficult times.

Venezuela has the world’s largest known oil reserves and has been one of the world’s leading exporters of oil. The Venezuelan government established, in the last 20 years, so many social policies that led to a crisis resulting in hyperinflation, an economic depression, shortages of basic goods and drastic increases in unemployment, poverty, disease, child mortality, malnutrition, and crime.

I want to use this window to talk about what’s happening in my country and to encourage people to pray and support Venezuelans that are migrating to other countries in search of some kind of life style that would allow them to help their families back home.

I have faith that we will soon be liberated from this situation and become a free country again. The more people know about our country, the bigger the awareness, less power to the government and more faith for our people.

If you have questions, if you want to donate to the people in Venezuela, if you would love to know more, please feel free to contact me. There are so many organizations that are helping our people and especially the children in Venezuela.
